$37,500 OBO Located in San Diego ABOUT THE AIRSTREAM We’re the third owners of this 1976 Airstream. The first owner took really good care of it, and we still have some of his original notes, books, and DMV paperwork. It’s pretty cool to have some of the trailer’s history. We also kept some of the original Airstream details, including the overhead storage and central control panel, which still works!! The photos show it as it is today. This is a big plus since many vintage Airstreams for sale have missing titles or expired registration. INSPECTION AND REPAIRS When we bought it, we took it straight to an RV shop in Oxnard. Before starting the remodel, we had them inspect the frame, plumbing, brakes, structure, and major systems. They completed the needed repairs before we started working on the interior. OUR TIME IN THE AIRSTREAM We’ve been doing tiny living since 2020, and we lived in this Airstream for the past two years. It was our home, not just a remodel project. We put a lot of time and care into making it comfortable, but our circumstances have changed, so we’re ready to let someone else enjoy it. UPDATES • New flooring • Updated kitchen and cabinets • Newer refrigerator, stove, and oven • Updated countertops, sink, and faucet • Bathroom, shower, and plumbing improvements • Rear bedroom with storage underneath • Front living area and workspace • Additional built-in storage • Updated lighting and interior finishes • Newer trailer brakes BATHROOM The bathroom currently has a composting toilet. The original black tank and plumbing lines are still intact if the next owner wants to install a regular RV toilet. WAYS TO USE IT It’s ready to use as a backyard guest space, home office, creative studio, or short-term rental. It can also be used for vacations and road trips. KNOWN ELECTRICAL ISSUE The left turn signal and left brake light are not working. We haven’t been able to find the electrical issue. The RV shop said they might have to remove a large part of the inside wall panels to reach the original wiring, and we decided not to take that on. This will need to be fixed before towing it on the road. SUPPLIES AND EXTRAS Includes wheel chocks, plumbing and hookup supplies, a PowerMax converter/charger, Blue Ox SwayPro weight-distribution hitch, and Trailer Valet XL drill-powered dolly. CONDITION This Airstream is almost 50 years old, so it isn’t perfect. The outside still has its original vintage look and patina, and there are some cosmetic and finishing details the next owner may want to improve.
