Representing Airstream’s distinctive “squarestream” era of the mid-1980s, this 1986 Airstream 325 is a 32.5-foot Class A motorhome built on a Chevrolet P30 chassis. It has been upgraded with a rebuilt GMC 454 gasoline engine, driven approximately 500 miles since completion, along with a replacement rebuilt transmission that's more robust than the original unit. Acquired from its second owner in California, the motorhome is said to have been originally specified with nearly all available factory options aside from the diesel engine. Subsequent servicing by an RV specialist in San Jose included a comprehensive mechanical inspection, engine rebuild, upgraded transmission installation, refreshed airbag and suspension system components, and the addition of a modernized 12-volt electrical system. Appliances include a 4-burner cooktop, convection microwave oven, Nutone food center, and a 3-way refrigerator, along with dual 13,500 BTU air conditioners with heat strips, a 30,000 BTU furnace with electronic ignition, and a 7,000-watt Kohler generator. Additional features include a built-in vacuum system, a water heater with motor-aid and electronic ignition, an Insta-Hot water tap, a deluxe monitoring system, and a motorized TV antenna with cable hookup and a rear TV monitor. Multiple 12V power points are also equipped. The seller notes the interior presents with age-related cosmetic wear, including dated upholstery and flooring, worn curtains and mini blinds, and aging bathroom wall coverings. Cabinetry may benefit from adjustment, and replacement of select soft goods is recommended. Systems are believed to be functional, although they have not been individually tested. We have had it for about 7 years and had plans to complete the cosmetics as well, but kids grow up and it's more RV than we need. Note damage to rear passenger side corner, spoke with a body shop who mentioned that it's fortunate that it's where the striping sticker goes and would cover the repair.
